A 2015 study that monitored the blood pressure of 292 blood donors who donated blood up to four times a year reported improvements in donors’ blood pressure readings. The more blood they donated, the more significant the improvements.

A 2007 study showed blood donors have a four percent lower risk of getting cancer and a 30 percent lower risk of dying from any cause. In 2015, the results were more favorable.

Michigan State University (MSU) alumnus Larry Gaynor serves as CEO of TNG Worldwide. To give back to his alma mater, Larry Gaynor donated $3 million to establish the Gaynor Entrepreneurship Lab at MSU’s Eli Broad College of Business.

The Gaynor Entrepreneurship Lab (GEL) is located on the ground floor of MSU’s business pavilion. Previously taught off-campus entrepreneurship courses are currently hosted at GEL. MSU’s entrepreneurship and innovation (E&I) minor program is open for students from all MSU colleges. Administered by the Department of Management, the program curriculum consists of two core courses covering entrepreneurship basics and nine elective credits.

Students can select their elective courses based on their long-term plans. Available electives address various aspects of entrepreneurship, including venture launch, entrepreneurial finance, and social media start-ups. Students must also complete two E&I experiences. These experiences are high-impact projects that allow students to gain a better understanding of entrepreneurship through hands-on learning.
